After weeks of concerns over drones hovering over tri-state communities, the Federal Aviation Administration has stepped in to stop the flight of unmanned aircraft by banning the flying machines over certain locations in New York.

The Federal Aviation Administration added new temporary flight restrictions preventing drones from flying over parts of another nine New Jersey towns this week. The new areas are in addition to sections of dozens of New Jersey municipalities where the FAA restricted drone flights earlier this month after statewide reports of unexplained drone sightings alarmed residents and local officials.
