England suffered their first-ever defeat against an African opponent as Senegal ran out surprise 3-1 winners at Nottingham Forest's City Ground. The result comes only three days after the Three Lions laboured to a one-goal victory over minnows Andorra in a World Cup qualifier,

England turned in an extremely underwhelming performance at the City Ground on Tuesday night as they were beaten 3-1 by Senegal. There was little on the line in Nottingham in a friendly at the end of a busy season, but manager Thomas Tuchel will still be frustrated with what he saw from his players.

Nevertheless, the Three Lions are the strong favourites, with football betting sites pricing them at 9/20 to win versus 10/3 for a draw and 6/1 for a Senegal victory.
