Winter storm warnings cover different parts of Utah, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming and Idaho, hugely affecting travel.

Steady rain will kick in at the beaches, and gusty southerly winds will start to roll up the Washington coast. By mid-day on Wednesday, the precipitation will fill into the Puget Sound Basin, then march up into the Cascades to yield heavy snow by early afternoon.

A midweek winter storm will pass over Northern New Mexico and deliver some mountain snow on Christmas, otherwise dry conditions will persist.
