Already thin at wide receiver, the Browns lost Cedric Tillman to a leg injury in Friday's training camp practice

Martin Emerson did not finish practice for the Browns on Tuesday, being carted off, and it does not look like the young cornerback will be ready to return anytime soon.

After a scare in practice, Cedric Tillman returned to the field just days later, a huge relief for a Browns team already thin at wide receiver heading into the 2025 season.

After the Browns traded veteran wide receiver Amari Cooper a year ago, Tillman stepped in at a high level. Stepping up with a veteran exiting, Tillman racked up 302 yards and three touchdowns in a four-game stretch leading up to his concussion that ended his season.

Stefanski said, via multiple reporters, that the team “dodged a bullet” with Tillman’s injury and that he will be at practice on Saturday. Guard Teven Jenkins, running back Jerome Ford and safety Tony Brown will not take part in practice, but Stefanski said all three players are moving closer to returning to action.

Bell, selected No. 99 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, has struggled to carve out a meaningful role in Cleveland’s offense. The latest designation is another setback. Over three seasons, he’s tallied just 41 receptions for 408 yards and three touchdowns.
