The DGCA's directive for enhanced safety inspection had come a day after an Air India 787-8 aircraft crashed moments after take-off from the Ahemdabad airport.

Flight data company Cirium says this aircraft had more than 41,000 hours of flying time; 8,000 takeoffs and landings in the past 12 months.
